Located just a few steps from the beach in the peaceful seaside town of Hayama, this unique beach house was designed to cultivate and emphasize the experience between people and the natural environment.
Constructed primarily of wood, the site is comprised of two main buildings with an interesting fusion of traditional Japanese simplicity and elements of barn structures. Anchored by exterior courtyards that create and promote a continuous flow, the house is spread several indoor and outdoor spaces and inter-connected by wooden decks that gives the sense of being onboard a boat.
The interiors are relaxing and casual with natural materials and a neutral color palette as well as carefully selected furnishing and decor to enhance the experience. The extensive use of full length folding doors makes seamless transitions from interior to exterior spaces. With three bedrooms and three baths, the home is spacious and can sleep up to six. The stylish and elegant design achieves a sense of harmony and balance in a tranquil and relaxing escape.
